Mr. Amoyaw is from a bilateral royal parentage; his mother was the late Princess Gladys Okyere from the Tutu-Brempong stool of Akropong-Akwapim, the grand daughter of Princess Yaa Yirekyiwa, the third child of Chief KwameTawia, Paramount Chief of Akropong- Akwapim, and a cousin of Chief Ofori Kuma and Chief Kwasi Akuffo of Akropong.
